Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal,
coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street.
On either side of the river was the tree of life,
bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month;
and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
The Short Version:
I was born in Charlotte, NC and I grew up in Egypt. I loved growing up in Egypt! I simply remember it as my childhood, lots of laughter, friends, and other normal things like learning how to spell. When I was in eighth grade, my family and I moved to Knoxville, TN. It was a unexpected and difficult move. But God really used that move and those years to shape me. While attending a public high school in Knoxville, I began noticing God's pursuit of me. I visited Pemba, Mozambique three times throughout my high school years. Pemba is a really important place in my life, it is where I began to grasp the Lord's love for me and where I began to believe in his goodness once again. Fall of 2010, I began attending Covenant College. There I studied lots and finished with a degree in Theological Studies. For much of my time at Covenant I was in a wrestling match with the Lord- struggling because I did not feel the abundant life found in Him. He used that place and that season of struggle to set me on the rock that is higher than I. Now, I head to Jordan with all my trust in Him.
